Post to professional group: 2nd time...

A few weeks ago I posted the following message to a professional forum of Computing Studies Teachers in NSW (CSTeachers), unfortunately, there must have been some problem with transmission as the message did not arrive, so I have posted it again:

Wikis...collaborative note taking and Open Source Text Books...

Hi all,

I am working on including wikis as part of my teaching environment and
also use them as a basis for an assignment for a Masters course in
emerging environments for learning.

I am wondering if anyone has been (or is) involved in creating or
managing a wiki for use within any course, but particularly in NSW
courses and even more particularly in SDD.

Similarly, but at a much higher level, has anyone had any experience
in creating or managing an Open Source Text book...or do we all agree
that with Sam's text as an authoritative source and that we see little
change in texts that the need for an open source text in SDD is not high?

So if you have experience, I would be VERY interested in
hearing/reading about them.

Thanks for your time.
