Introduction of Year 12 Classes to concept of Open Source Text Book...

On Tuesday this week (29 Jan 2008), I met (for the first time in 2008) with my Year 12 Software Design and Development Online Class. They are students from around NSW (Australia) that study the above course online, but try to spend a day per term (2 per semester) at my school doing a full day of teaching/planning/communicating.

It was at this time that I introduced the idea of an open source text book. They seemed to understand the concept, but I has also introduced a number of new initiatives into the course, all focused on increased collaboration. We will see over the next few weeks how well they understood and how they get involved with the project and in particular, contribute to it.
